[8:57] <torpor> got another game done
[8:57] <torpor> will release tonight
[8:57] <torpor> hope someone in here will test it for me ..
[8:58] <leinir> nicely :)
[8:58] <leinir> what game is this? :)
[9:06] * MMlosh (n=MMlosh@2001:470:1f0b:b78:596d:6a4a:d61:fcf4) Quit ("Bye...")
[9:08] <FIN__Master> im up for testing :)
[9:12] <torpor> its nothing special, but fun.
[9:12] <torpor> 3d space invaders
[9:12] <torpor> just a port.
[9:13] <leinir> It sounds a lot more like a game i'd like to play than the tanks game ;)
[9:13] <leinir> Which is cute, but... :)
[9:13] <torpor> it is cute
[9:13] <torpor> did you try wakebreaker?
[9:13] <torpor> tank game is better .. ;)
[9:13] <leinir> hmm... i didn't try wakebreaker no
[9:13] <FIN__Master> i cant really expect a duke nukem forever for the tb :)
[9:13] <torpor> c'mon, try wakebreaker guys
[9:13] <torpor> w1xer.at/zii/tbWakeBreaker/
[9:14] <torpor> just download the bin and see if it works .. use the arrow keys to get past splash screen
[9:14] <leinir> FIN__Master: Of course you can! ;)
[9:14] <torpor> yeah duke nukem should work
[9:14] <leinir> FIN__Master: If, that is, you remove the "a" ;)
[9:14] <torpor> in fact there are a whole bunch of games that we can port to touchbook in all honesty, that would be fun ..
[9:15] <leinir> i rather hope to be able to get Gluon Player running on there by the end of next semester :)
[9:16] <torpor> why not do it now?
[9:16] <torpor> seems to me it could be done
[9:16] <leinir> because Gluon Player is not written yet ;)
[9:16] <torpor> oh
[9:16] <torpor> ;)
[9:17] <leinir> but... yeah, we should be able to get something running fairly soon... but proper release-release is going to be around early summer next year :)

[9:28] <jaggz-> anyone have a pic of the keyboard?
[9:35] <torpor> on the site?
[9:36] <evilnick> There aren't any (that I could find) that show the keyboard from a top-down/plan view on the alwaysinnovating.com site
[9:37] <torpor> i see
[9:37] <torpor> you making a GUI or something?

[11:51] <torpor> ok
[11:52] <torpor> anyone else in here feel like debugging a little GLES application on their touchbooks?
[11:55] * koen tried to debug a GLES app and failed
[11:55] <koen> well, failed is too big a word, the bug was in the imgtec stuff
[11:56] <torpor> hey koen
[11:56] <torpor> glad i ran into you
[11:56] <torpor> there is a bug in the GLES .bb recipe for openembedded.. was talking with DJWillis yesterday about it.
[11:57] <torpor> wtf is up with the permissions? is it necessary to preserve everything on the copy of the header files? can you easily just add a chmod 664 to the end of the recipe?
[11:57] <torpor> DJWillis said you might now something about it. i don't wanna fix it. :)
[12:03] <koen> I can't say anything about that
[12:03] <torpor> oh i thought you might have been the one responsible for the recipe
[12:03] <koen> I wouldn't want to be overheard saying that the linux SDK gets done on a windows computer which messes up permissions
[12:03] <torpor> ok
[12:03] <torpor> heh
[12:04] <torpor> i guess i'll fix it some day soon when i get caught up with the OE situation
[12:04] <torpor> but to be truthful i'm hoping to avoid OE and just move to a full native-onboard compiler situation.
[12:04] * koen is trying to get it fixed upstream
[12:04] <torpor> seems to be working fine now. just wish i could build ipks natively too.
[12:04] <koen> torpor: I'm trying to keep native compiliation working for that reason :)
[12:05] * koen makes a note to build opkg-utils
[12:05] <koen> well, see if opkg-utils actually works first, since it's brokenmoko-ware
[12:06] * Meizirkki (n=Meizirkk@bbwirelessgw2-feeedc00-64.dhcp.inet.fi) Quit (Remote closed the connection)
[12:07] <DJWillis> koen: still trying to get openbroko stuff working ;-), evening by the way.
[12:10] <torpor> hm
[12:10] <torpor> i just got my freerunner booted up for the first time today in about .. a year?
[12:11] <torpor> shee-it it was humorous to see that things GUI ..
[12:11] * Meizirkki (n=Meizirkk@bbwirelessgw2-feeedc00-64.dhcp.inet.fi) has joined #touchbook
[12:11] <torpor> opkg-utils would be lovely koen. if you get it working, i promise i'll be an almost-immediate user. i've got two ports of some 3D game demos done, and if i can opkg them, i'll do it right away.
[12:13] <koen> patches welcome for the libgles-omap3 recipe btw, the upcoming sdk release is a bit better in that regard, but still bad
[12:14] * koen got sidetracked with customer stuff so couldn't spend enough time on the sdk
[12:14] <koen> but we (TI) are working on it!
[12:15] * koen giggles again at the w1xer domain name
[12:15] * koen turns on BBC2 and gets hungry
[12:15] <torpor> koen: you are at TI these days?

[23:21] <gregoiregentil> Ping Koen?
[23:21] <jvs> gregoiregentil, my devices are coming today
[23:22] <jvs> where do you want me to send the Apfelstrudel to?
[23:25] <gregoiregentil> Not sure to get it. I guess that it's a joke
[23:26] <jvs> heh, actually yes
[23:26] <jvs> obviously a bad one
[23:26] <jvs> but I would have sent you some, if you had given me an address :)
[23:27] <drantin> use the technical contact in the whois database?
[23:28] <drantin> PO Box 1418 Menlo Park, CA 94026
[23:28] <drantin> that phone number looks fake >_>
[23:28] <drantin> +1.1234567890
[23:29] <gregoiregentil> drantin: correct for the phone. I had my cell phone and too many people were thinking that it was the support center hotline....
[23:30] <gregoiregentil> Unfortunately, there are still a couple of places where you have my real cellphone...
[23:31] <drantin> still, iirc if you call from skype without a skype-in number, that's what shows on the caller id
