40-pin connector

In a Smart Book, in order to allow the connexion between the MID board and the tablet board, there is a specific 40-pin connector. The male connector is on the tablet board (P201), and the female connector is on the MID board (P2).

Male connector

Female connector (on the core board)

Pin description

  • Pin 1: 5V (supply current into the core board)
  • Pin 2: 5V (supply current into the core board)
  • Pin 3: HEADS_RIGHT (headphone right)
  • Pin 4: HEADS_LEFT (headphone left)
  • Pin 5: HEADS_COM (headphone detection insertion)
  • Pin 6: HEADS_MIC (headphone microphone)
  • Pin 7: AUXR (aux right)
  • Pin 8: AUXL (aux left)
  • Pin 9: BUTTON1 (first button)
  • Pin 10: 3.3V (3.3V output from the core board)
  • Pin 11: 3.3V (3.3V output from the core board)
  • Pin 12: SPKL+ (external speaker left +)
  • Pin 13: SPKL- (external speaker left -)
  • Pin 14: SPKR+ (external speaker right +)
  • Pin 15: SPKR- (external speaker right -)
  • Pin 16: OTG_DM (USB OTG -)
  • Pin 17: OTG_DP (USB OTG +)
  • Pin 18: BUTTON2 (second button)
  • Pin 19: GND (ground)
  • Pin 20: GND (ground)
  • Pin 21: GPIO_A-3.3V (gpio shifted to 3.3V)
  • Pin 22: GPIO_B-3.3V (gpio shifted to 3.3V)
  • Pin 23: TX-5V (serial TX)
  • Pin 24: RX-5V (serial RX)
  • Pin 25: USB_4_N (USB -)
  • Pin 26: USB_4_P (USB +)
  • Pin 27: GPT_PWM-3.3V (gpio for screen PWM shifted to 3.3V)
  • Pin 28: GPIO_TS2-5V (gpio for touchscreen shifted to 5V)
  • Pin 29: I2C3_SDA-5V (first i2c sda shifted to 5V)
  • Pin 30: I2C3_SCL-5V (first i2c scl shifted to 5V)
  • Pin 31: I2C2_SDA-5V (second i2c sda shifted to 5V)
  • Pin 32: I2C2_SCL-5V (second i2c scl shifted to 5V)
  • Pin 33: DAT2+ (HDMI third lane +)
  • Pin 34: DAT2- (HDMI third lane -)
  • Pin 35: DAT1+ (HDMI second lane +)
  • Pin 36: DAT1- (HDMI second lane -)
  • Pin 37: DAT0+ (HDMI first lane +)
  • Pin 38: DAT0- (HDMI first lane -)
  • Pin 39: CLK+ (HDMI clock lane +)
  • Pin 40: CLK- (HDMI clock lane -)
